Hines Observatory IAU/MPC H71

Hines Observatory is owned my Murray and Lori Hines.  It is a registered International Astronomical Union / Minor Planet Center asteroid and comet observing station.  Located near Chula, Georgia, the observatory is located within a wide open field with plenty of room for observers.  The location is well away from any city limits, so sky pollution is not an issue here.  The primary equipment used at Hines Observatory is a 14" (0.35-meter) LX200 GPS.  This telescope is equipped with a SBIG ST-2000 imager and is capable of imaging nearly any object in the sky.  A 12" (0.3-meter) LX200 Classic also resides in the observatory.  This telescope has been used in the past for asteroid work.  Other telescopes are also used at Hines Observatory.
