Hand Axes

These particular types of hand axes were uses for many different tasks -- from breaking turtle shells, cracking nuts, busting bones to get the marrow out, or even weapons.  Pre-historic man used a variety of axes, but these were the most common found in Georgia.  All of these axes were field found artifacts discovered in Georgia.
